Game Development Log 4


A huge amount of bug fixes and improvments this month but I also managed to continue working on new stuff.

Also most of the finished things mentioned here are already in the early access version.

===TF Progress===
I got some decent work done on the next transformations I want to add to the game. Those two I am currently working on will probaly be finished next month.

I also came up with another idea to include even more transformations to make gameplay more interesting and diverse. Those transformations will all have their unique fighting style like the normal ones but feature no or very short stories attached to them and are not needed for completing the game.

I thought this may be an good idea to include tf's that wouldn't have made it into the game otherwise. The first one of those should be finished around next month.

===Area Progress===

This month I worked on the western plains and added a lot more stuff in. Also one part of the western plains got completely changed. Work on the South-Western Plain also progressed a lot. Once those areas are finished I can concentrate to work on the last huge area, the frozen tundra.

The casino also got expanded.
Besides new prices to exchanges tokens for, there are now also two new minigames to play: Boulder Escape and "Flame Collection (WIP Title)". Currently both games have only 2 levels with 3 difficulties, more being added in the future.

Two more ng+ perks also got added.
Also after finishing the tutoriel and having done the "Search for shelter quest", it is posssible to rest at any campfire now to change the time of day as well.

And the Golden retriver form got an overhaul and got a lot stronger.

===Side Quest===
One new side quest got added, not much to say besides that. And the Quest for the equipment "5 Impossible Tasks" is added as well.
I also finally playtested all new quest as well.

Also Gunner and Mage are now finished and in the game. And I also added their class masteries now.
But they aren't througly tested yet, so they most likely need more balancing and adjusting.

Another big changes to weapon classes is. That you can change them at a lot more places now as well, if you buy the needed item in town. Making it far more accessible as well.

Besides that the enemy records app now displays the possible drops of the monsters loot a lot more helpful. Now the search for certain materials should be a lot easier.


I also added a few new skills for some party members and added missing animations for a lot of weapon skills. New and Old.

===Community Changes and Improvements===

  • Fixed wrong Item Icons on some weapons
  • Fixed Drop rates of new monsters and some bosses
  • More spelling mistakes fixed
  • Fixed Special Bar going up or down when using mutiple items in a turn
  • A lot of skills fixes and adjustments (Mainly for the new forms.)
  • Fixed Party Members Passive Skills not working
  • Added passive skills for Rabbit
  • Fixed a game crash involing the training dummy in the dojo
  • A lot of skills fixes and adjustments (For a lot of the older tf forms, weapon skills and party members)
  • Fixed the weapon skill restrictions not working
  • Fixed a lot of settings and oversights relating to Night Time
  • Change the Ultimate Gauge Max to be always 300
  • Fixed a lot of bugs in the Endless Dungeon, it should now almost be playble!
  • Reworked Dog form and boosted her very strongly
  • Fixed Chilly Pepper Seeds not working correctly
  • Added missing sound effects in some places when getting an item
  • Fixed some ultimates that reduced utimate gauge too much.
  • Fixed another ultimate softlock belonging to one of the new forms.
  • Added 1 new Gacha Card and removed placeholder cards
  • Fixed a softlock involving one of the new field abilities.
  • Fixed a overlook involving another one of the new field abilities.
  • Fixed one wrap crystal, bringing the palyer to a wrong location.
  • Updated and improved some item and skill descriptions.

when will there be a public update?

Once the game is complete, is currently my plan.
When that is, I unfortunately can't say.
Maybe end of the year but I can't make any promises.

has the cat transformation/ending  been worked on yet or is it still in the works ik i asked before but its been a long while since so i figured id do a check up

Yup the bad ending for cat is already in the game since Development log 4. It's actually the only new bad ending currently, one more comming with development log 5 at the end of month.
