Game Development Log 12
A new update to fix a lot of bugs and spelling mistakes!
But this one also adds a big amount of new content. Mainly things that didn't made it into version 1.0.0 but also some compltely new ones.
As stated before it won't be the last update to the game, besides bug fixes and such there is a bit of content that I would like to add over time. A few things like one field ability and some skill animations are still missing but most is done.
With the release of 1.0.2 on patreon, version 0.8.0 will become public. All changes up to development log 9 are in version 0.8.0.
===Regarding Redoing Graphics===
I did knew that it would be quite a lot of tiles that I would need to draw to replace all but I had no idea it would be way over 6000 unique ones to replace.
I would have loved to give the game a more unique look but I decided that I will not be replacing all the tilesets. It's just way too much work for someone like me who has not any expereince in making tilesets to begin with.
So I will leave the tilessets as the default ones for now.
BUT if someone happens to know someone who has experience in making tilesets for the RPG Maker MV engine or is knowledgeable themself, feel free to let me know!
===Rebalancing===
The Full Auto Support Skill now works with all new weapon classes and Forms. (Hadn't the time yet to fully test it so please report if you encounter any bugs with Full Support Mode.)
Several Skill Adjustments for various forms and party members, mainly to add some new buff and debuff effects.
New ability to learn for Human Form in the Dojo
Added the last missing field ability for Ryu. And new dojo skill upgrade for Ryu Form.
Added two new Buffs and one Debuff: "Critical Damage Up", "Critical Dmg Amplified" and "Critical Damage Down"
As their name suggest, they boost the amount of damage that a critical hit does The Critical Dmg Amount is now also affected by the characters Luck Stat. Meaning: Higher Luck = More critical Dmg
Around 10 new pieces of equipment also got added who can increases the Critical Dmg.
===New Content===
Added one new store in the northern part of town. There you can buy yourself a home in town and decorate it.
Added more yellow switches.
Added two more caves, both in the South-Western Plains
Added two more alternative endings.
Added Keepsake Equipment for Fii, Melia, Lima and Xia. Each of them comes with new skills for the corresponding party members.
===Community Changes and Improvements===
Some suggestions and feedback from the community that I also changed/included to make the game better.
- Reduced the amount of flashing effects in some skill animation.
- Added skill animations for Gauntlet and Katana Weapon Classes. As well as added missing skill animations for other various skills.
- More secrets to find
- A lot more Mythical Flames to find.
- Fixed sme oversights
- Fixed a facial sprite error that can occur when using one of the new two transformations
- Fixed some mistakes with the Inherted Skill learning screens in the dojo
- Fixed a oversight in the Cat TF quest if you have accepted the casino quest
- Fixed Kitsune Skills not showing after using transformation command in battle
- Fixed broken mirror interactions for various forms
- Fixed Serina World Fragment Paradox
- A lot more spelling mistakes got fixed
